Washing
Before shampooing, gently remove any tangles from your hair extensions. Use salon purchased Shampoo and Conditioner only, or purchase care products from our online store.
Run the hair under warm (not hot) water. Gently work the shampoo into the hair (mix into your shampoo some conditioner, about half and half), stroking downwards from the weft base (top) to the ends. Do not twist, scrub or rub the hair.
When clean, rinse thoroughly under warm running water until the water runs clear. Be sure to rinse until all shampoo is removed.
Gently work Conditioner into the hair and leave for fifteen minutes. Rinse conditioner out.
Lay extensions on a towel to dry.
Your human hair clip in extensions will not require washing as often as your own hair, wash only when they start to look dull and lifeless. The less your hair extensions are washed the longer they will last.
Never use anti dandruff products on your hair extensions
Brushing
Hold extensions tightly around top and brush knots out. Always start brushing knots out from the bottom of hair working your way up. Always brush your hair extensions gently using a hair extension brush or soft bristle brush.
Never use a hard bristle brush as this will cause breakage in the hair extensions.
Drying
Gently brush your hair extensions while they are wet. Use a warm or cool heat setting on your dryer.
Curling or Straightening Irons
Always use a heat protector, and use on lowest heat setting. We recommend the Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment; heat protection. Note leaving irons on the hair too long will scorch the hair.
Tip: Always make sure your irons are clean; otherwise you are ironing dirt build up into your human hair extensions.
Perming
Hairdressers only to do, using the lightest perming solution. Always use the testing strands supplied to ensure you get the desired results.
Colouring
Hairdressers only to do; as per normal colouring. Always use the testing strands supplied to ensure you get the desired results, remembering that human hair extensions are chemically processed hair.
Storing
Store your human hair extensions with the clips closed.
Do not sleep with your clip in extensions in your hair.
